Adam and Eve had EVERYTHING in the Garden of Eden.
What Happened in the Garden of Eden?
After Adam was created, the Lord God took him and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it, and Adam had everything he needed. Eve was his wife and helper, he had enough food and drink, perfect health, perfect weather, entertainment, eternal life, and God’s favour. ADAM AND EVE LACKED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Adam was given dominion.
Adam was in charge of the earth and everything on it. Adam could do anything and everything he wanted to do EXCEPT THIS…the Lord God commanded him, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:15-17
Everything was perfect...until the serpent deceived Eve!
And the serpent said to Eve, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” (God never forbade them to touch it. Why? Their job was to maintain the garden, and so they had to touch everything.)
Then the serpent tried to make as if God told a lie, and the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Their eyes opened and they discovered they were naked, and they made clothes from fig leaves.
God asked Adam if they ate from the forbidden tree.
When God was looking for them later. They were hiding because they were naked and ashamed.
God asked if they ate from that tree, and Adam said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”
Adam did not assume responsibility but blamed Eve, although God gave Adam the instruction not to eat from that tree.
For the first time God spoke to Eve, and the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”
The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”
And Eve also did not accept responsibility, but passed it over to the serpent, the evil one.
So the Lord God cursed the serpent, He cursed Eve and He cursed Adam.
The serpent did not really mind, because he got what he wanted. Adam’s authority and dominion was passed to the serpent, and since then he ruled through man’s sinful nature.
They died Spiritually.
THE SERPENT WAS PARTLY RIGHT, Adam and Eve did not die physically.
THEY DIED SPIRITUALLY. GOD CUT THEM OFF.
Spiritual death meant that they were separated from God. Adam still lived until his age 930, but he was separated from God. God took away their eternal life, their perfect health, and all the benefits they had in the Garden of Eden. This punishment lasted almost 4000 years.
They were kicked out of Eden.
Adam relinquished his authority to Eve, and she to the serpent.
Adam has lost control over the earth. In fact he was thrown out of the Garden of Eden, totally without God and fully exposed to satan.
Satan have been ruling earth since then, through the sinful nature of man.
Man was separated from God and had to toil and struggle to get along, until Jesus Christ was sent by God.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
King’s Kidz that are Born Again have everlasting life.
